Summer Holidays - What's on around here?
The school holidays are here! What are you all up to? Stay-cationing? Day-tripping? There's so much to do in Archway and the surrounding area... we've put together some highlights to give you some ideas and help you keep you and yours busy and inspired over the next few weeks.
Did you know The Bomb Factory are running free workshops in August? They cover interesting subjects too; Cyanotype printing, Zine-Making, Collage and Ceramics, If your tween and teens are creative and looking to develop skills - they are free and well worth exploring here.
Have you kept up a love of walking after the lockdowns? Our popular guides by Metro London are a great place to start, but if you're feeling like you want more - then look up Jen Pedlar! She has been leading walking tours since 2013 and she is leading 2 Capital Ring Walks in August. She has a eye for searching out the quirky details and interesting stories and she's even available for private bookings. Lauderdale House, just up the road in the beautiful Waterlow Park have some really exciting events & art workshops - if you are interested in film and music then take a look at the Press Play Summer Youth Programme. There is a fabulous line up on their Open Air Thursdays through August, with a Comedy Night on the 5th, An unforgettable evening of eclectic music with She'Koyokh on the 12th and a grand ole sing along with resident cabaret artiste, Tim McArthur on Thursday 19th. The events all take place on the Tea Lawn (whatever the weather),you can book the picnic benches, bring a blanket or camping chair! See more details here.
